Bessie I. Wilson, 72, of the 7700 block of Armfield Ave., died Nov. 19, 1994, in Hill Haven Holmes Health Care.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Camden, N.C., and was the widow of Ernest W. Wilson. She was retired from auto maintenance with Kenneth Motor Co. She was a member of Garden of Prayer (NU)3, Young People's Willing Workers, Sunday School Y.P.W.W., and the Hospitality Committee. She was a former member of the Brambleton Civic League.
Survivors include two daughters, Earline P. Griffin of Greenville, N.C. and Geneva Wilson of Norfolk; a sister, JoElla Thomas of South Mills, N.C.; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Garden of Prayer (NU)3, Norfolk, by Elder Thomas Ruffin. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church. Family and friends will assemble at 955 Merrimac Ave., Saturday at 11 a.m. for the procession to the church. T.E. Cooke-Twilight Funeral Home, Suffolk, is handling arrangements.
