Union Camp Corp. says it has agreed to sell its retail paper-bag operation based in Richmond for an undisclosed price to a management-led group and an investment firm.
A new company, Fairway Packaging Products Inc., and SCI Investors will buy the operations, which are located in Richmond and Savannah, Ga. Fairway said it hopes the acquisition will be completed by the end of December. The retail operation manufacturers a wide variety of paper bags, from fast-food bags to grocery bags.
