THOMAS B. BASNIGHT

Thomas Burnes Basnight, 73, of the 2700 block of Vincent Ave., a retired mechanic, died Nov. 20, 1994 in the home.

Mr. Basnight was born in Columbia, N.C. He retired from Car-Matic after 10 years and was retired for 15 years. He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and an usher.

Survivors include his wife, Ida Louise Basnight; a daughter, Joann Hooks of Newburgh, N.Y.; a sister, Wilma Brothers of Elizabeth City, N.C.; a brother, James Basnight of Columbia, N.C.; and five grandchildren, Dekasha, Teshara, Reshanda, Shayla and Kyera Hooks, all of Newburgh, N.Y.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hale Funeral Home, Ballentine Boulevard, by the Rev. Joseph Lassiter. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park.
