James Ira Turrentine, of the 5400 block of Barnhollow Road, died Nov. 24, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mr. Turrentine worked as operations manager with Tidewater Regional Transit Authority. He was a member of the board of directors of Hope House. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a graduate of North Carolina Central University.
Survivors include three sisters, Shirley Bryant of Calverton, Md., Alma Gwendolyn Daniels of Durham, N.C., and Brenda Turrentine of Oxon Hill, Md.; two brothers, Lynwood Turrentine of East Killingly, Conn. and George McDuffie Turrentine of Bowie, Md.
The family will receive friends at Hale Funeral Home, Norfolk, Saturday from 7 to 8 p.m. Burthey Funeral Home, Durham, N.C., supplied information.
