Ruth Hurst Trent, 76, died Nov. 23, 1994, at the home of her daughter.
Mrs. Trent was born in Norfolk and was the widow of Warren H. Trent. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Norfolk; charter member of Elizabeth River Women's Club; Norfolk Yacht and Country Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Dottie Trent Dudley, and son-in-law, William L. Dudley Jr., of Virginia Beach; a sister, Nellie F. Satterfield of Virginia Beach; and two grandsons, William L. Dudley II and W. Trent Dudley, both of Virginia Beach. She was predeceased by her parents, Pearl Lewis Hurst and Edgar Lee Hurst.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. H. Randolph Arrington. The family will be at the residence of her daughter, 4328 Alfriends Trail, Virginia Beach. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters or the American Cancer Society.
