Helen Cake Futch, of Suffolk, and a lifelong resident of the area, died Nov. 24, 1994, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Futch was born in Norfolk and was a retired employee of the U.S. government. She was the widow of Thomas D. Futch.
Survivors include two sons, Marc P. Cake of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Bob Cake of Suffolk; a sister, Marjorie Steele of Norfolk; and six grandchildren.
A funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Indian River Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home 7 to 9 p.m. today.
