Ruth Hurst Trent, 76, died Nov. 23, 1994, in the home of her daughter.
She was a native of Norfolk, and was the widow of Warren H. Trent. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Norfolk, a charter member of Elizabeth River Women's Club, and the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club.
She is survived by one daughter, Dottie Trent Dudley, and son-in-law, William L. Dudley Jr., of Virginia Beach; one sister, Nellie H. Satterfield of Virginia Beach; two grandsons, William L. Dudley III and W. Trent Dudley, both of Virginia Beach. She was predeceased by her parents, Pearl Lewis and Edgar Lee Hurst.
The graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. H. Randolph Arrington. Holloman-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling the arrangements. The family will be at the residence of her daughter, 4328 Alfriends Trail, Virginia Beach. Memorial donations may be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters or the American Cancer Society.
