JOSEPH J. GAGE SR.

Joseph John Gage Sr., 79, died Nov. 21, 1994 in a Chesapeake hospital.

He was a native of Luzerne County, Pa., and had retired from Norfolk Naval Air Station as an Aircraft Engine Mechanic. He was the widower of Myrtle Portlock Gage. He was affiliated with St. Pius X Catholic Church and Christ the King Catholic Church. He was also a member of Catholic Friendship Club, and he had served in the U.S. Navy for four years during WWII.

He is survived by one son, Joseph John Gage Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Julie Fry of Birdsbord, Pa., and Ann Tunila of Klamath, Ore.; two grandchildren, Carolyn M. Cicutto of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Joanne K. Gage of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and one great-grandchild, Michael Joseph Cicutto of Winston-Salem, N.C.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Joseph P. Lehman. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
