Rubben Jones Sr., of the 400 block of W. 35th St., died Nov. 21, 1994, in Hillhaven Nursing Home.
He was a realty agent and a native of Louise, Miss. He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, and was a Navy veteran of WWII.
Survivors include three daughters, Ruth Jones of Chicago, Ill., Ruby Jones of New York City, Angie Jones of Norfolk; four sons, Perry Jones of Oxford, N.C., Anthony Jones, Darnell Jones and Rubben Jones Jr., all of Norfolk; three sisters, Maggie Batups of Los Angeles, Ethel Jones and Catherine Jones, both of Chicago, Ill., and one adopted sister, Essie Harris of Norfolk; five grandchildren; and a special grandson, Tracy Lee Noah of Norfolk.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church by Dr. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling the arrangements. Viewing is at 1 p.m. Monday. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. The family will assemble at the residence at 11 a.m. for the processional.
