Beatrice Mae Dowdy Wood, 88, of the 100 block of East 40th St., a homemaker, died Nov. 26, 1994, in a local hospital.
She was a native of Virginia Beach and was a member of Fairmont Park United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, Elizabeth Chapter (NU)45.
She is survived by two daughters, Jan Credeur of Groves, Tex., and Sandra Sweeney of Norfolk; one son, Robert Waterfield of Racine, Wis.; four sisters, Hazel Brooks of Matthews, Va., Virginia Romeo of Norfolk, Dianne DeGroot of Norfolk and Beulah Riggs of Virinia Beach; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Donald A. Baird. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Gardens.
