Maggie Miller Bowen, 77, of the 1200 block of N.C. 45, died Nov. 25, 1994, following a long illness.
She was a native of Bertie County, N.C., and was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. Mrs. Bowen retired from Bertie County School System as a dietician.
Survivors include one daughter, JoAnne B. Wall of Monroe, N.Y.; one son, Fred Bowen of Portsmouth; four sisters, Virgie Mizell of Merry hill, N.C., Geneva Swain of Colerain, N.C., Marnie Winesett of Dillon, S.C., and Ruby Bryant of Colerain, N.C.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Riverside Baptist Church by the Rev. Adrain Modlin with interment in Riverside Churchyard. Memorial gifts may be made to the Roanoke Chowan Hospice, P.O. Box 272, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910. Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, is handling the arrangements.
