RALPH E. DEADY

Commander Ralph Earl Deady, CEC, USN (Ret.), 64, died Nov. 21, 1994, at his residence. He was a civil engineer for J.J. Henry Inc. and was a native of Ohio. He was Protestant and was a member of the Virginia Beach Rifle and Pistol Club, the National Rifle Association and the Navy League. He had 21 years with the Navy, was a 1952 graduate of Case Institute of Technology, highly decorated Vietnam war veteran, which included the Bronze Star with Combat ``V,'' and he was a licensed professional engineer in New York, Ohio and Virginia.

He is survived by Deirdre; one daughter, Jennifer Deady Thompson of Virginia Beach; one son, William John Deady II and wife, Linda of Virginia Beach; one sister, Elizabeth ``Betty'' Konecsni of Ohio; one brother, Frederick William Deady Jr. of Michigan; four grandchildren, Jason, Will, Michelle, and Michael, all of Virginia Beach.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. today in Princess Anne Memorial Park by Father Jim Parke. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
