Sylvia Selkow Yavner, 82, of the 7300 block of Glenroie Ave., died Nov. 29, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Yavner, a native of Baltimore, was the widow of Solomon Yavner, and was preceded in death by her daughter, Daryl Yavner Harnish. She was a member of B'nai Israel Congregation in Norfolk and its Sisterhood. She was a member of Beth Sholom Auxiliary and a volunteer Pink Lady with DePaul Hospital. Mrs. Yavner was a philanthropist with the Hebrew Academy of Tidewater and the Tidewater Jewish Foundation.
Survivors include a brother, Robert Selkow of Baltimore.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Rabbi Israel Bornstein. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
