Thelma J. Boone, 65, of the 900 block of London Blvd., died Nov. 28, 1994, in Manning Convalescent Home.
Mrs. Boone was born in Prince George County, Va., and was the widow of LaVerne Boone. She was a former member of New Hope Church of Christ Holiness, Portsmouth.
Survivors include five daughters, Velma M. Smith, Shirley M. Morgan, Dianne Jackson, Dionetta Boone and Darlene Boone, all of Portsmouth; two sons, LaVerne Boone Jr. of Portsmouth and Leroy Edward Boone of Newport News; three sisters, Lessie Belle Dye of Brooklyn, N.Y., Joan Emily Johnson and Rosetta Barnes, both of Newport News; three brothers, Willie Thomas Johnson of New York City, Bert Lee Johnson and Washburn Johnson, both of Newport News; a host of grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in New Hope Church of Christ Holiness, Portsmouth, by Bishop Albert Moore. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will begin at 5 p.m. today in Corprew Funeral Home. The family will be at 2401 Lansing Ave., Portsmouth, and will assemble there for the funeral service.
