HAIL THE MAYOR

We must all be aware of Virginia Beach Mayor Meyera Oberndorf's recent trip to China. Her real interest was for the improvement of the economy in Virginia Beach.

In 1997, China will take over Hong Kong; and the merchants of Hong Kong are looking for good investments elsewhere.

The citizens of Virginia Beach need this kind of selling, and the taxpayers did not pay for the mayor's visit.

We should congratulate our mayor and say, ``A good job well-done.'' That's my opinion!
