Devetta E. ``Katie'' McCoy of the 1100 block of Thompkins Lane died Nov. 30, 1994.
Mrs. McCoy was born in Princess Anne County. She was a member of New Light Baptist Church, the deaconess board and held various other positions in the church.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard E. McCoy Sr.; two daughters, Doris Bellamy and Jean Taylor, both of Chesapeake; five sons, George McCoy, Jerry McCoy and Michael McCoy of Virginia Beach, Leonard McCoy of Chesapeake and Kenneth McCoy of Portsmouth; 20 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at New Light Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. R.B. Lewis. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. The body will be in the church from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 Saturday.
