Katherine E. Moton, 75, of the 4200 block of Newport Ave., died Nov. 30, 1994 in Lafayette Villa Health Care.
Mrs. Moton was born in West Virginia. She was a retired housekeeper with Lake Shores, a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church and Mother of the church and the widow of Elijah Moton, Sr.
Survivors include two daughters, Mildred C. West of Norfolk and Helen Claytor of Charleston, W.Va.; four sons, Robert L. Moton of Columbus, Ohio, Elijah Moton, Jr. and Willie J. Moton, both of Cleveland, Ohio, and Matthew D. Moton of Florida; a brother, Stewart Frazier of Harvey, W.Va.; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hale Funeral Home by the Rev. Virginia Hardy. Burial will be in Jones Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. The family will assemble at 4217 Newport Ave.
