a flock of brown pelicans as the sun peeks over the dunes of
Hatteras Island at daybreak Thursday. Cook of Perkasie, a
Pennsylvania suburb of Philadelphia, is vacationing with friends at
Waves and went to the beach to record the late-fall sunrise.
