A new Sentara HMO focusing on women and children eligible for Medicaid has been approved by the state, Sentara Health System said. One aim of the HMO is to ``address the excessive use of emergency rooms for primary care,'' therefore reducing health care costs Sentara said. Sentara is offering its plan as an alternative to state-managed Medicaid and Medallion insurance plans. Sentara said that people who enroll in the plan will receive full coverage at no cost for office visits, surgery, hospitalization, substance abuse, mental health care, prescription drugs and some nonprescription drugs, such as aspirin. by CNB
