Leroy P. Merkle, Sr., 95, of the 5000 block of Egton Court died Dec. 2, 1994, in Chesapeake.
Mr. Merkle was born in Lima, Ohio. He was a member of Church of the Ascension Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Cecilia Merkle; a daughter, Elaine McGeein of Virginia Beach; a son, Leroy Paul Merkle, Jr. of Toledo, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Church of the Ascension Catholic Church by Father James Park. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
