A caption on Friday's MetroNews front had several errors. The

Puget Sound, which returned from the Med on Thursday, is a destroyer

tender. The destroyer Stump and the frigate Samuel B. Roberts

returned to Norfolk from naval exercises off South America.

The Navy guided missile cruiser Gettysburg is based in Mayport,

Fla. A story Thursday about a fire on the cruise ship Achille Lauro

had the wrong home port for the Gettysburg.

Valerie McLean is the first African-American woman to be a

student film director at Regent University. A story in Friday's

Daily Break had an error.

A photo in Friday's MetroNews section, with a story about a

federal gun case, showed a mural depicting debate over the framing

of the Constitution. A caption in some editions erroneously said

the mural depicted debate over the Declaration of Independence.

The Portsmouth plant sold by Procter & Gamble is a 21-acre

facility. A BusinessNews graphic Friday had an error.
