WILLIE A. EASON JR.

Willie Augustus (Gus) Eason, Jr., 58, of the 100 block of Nosay Road, South Mills, NC died Dec. 1, 1994, in Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City, N.C.

He was a native of South Mills, N.C., and employed at Norshipco, Norfolk, Va. He was the son of the late Willie Augustus Eason, Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Amanda M. Ferebee Eason of the home; his mother, Carrie Mae Brown Eason of South Mills, N.C.; two step-daughters, Lenora F. Velazco of Chesapeake, Va., and Deborah Ann Moore of South Mills; one foster-daughter, Debbie Basnight of Currituck, N.C.; five step-sons, Erwin A. Ferebee, Rudolph M. Moore, Jr., Theophus A. Moore, Micheal A. Moore, Leon C. Moore of Elizabeth City, N.C.; five sisters, Precilla Powell of South Mills, N.C., Carolyn Eason and Lillie Smalls of Brooklyn, N.Y., Racheal Eason and Emma Eason of Manhattan, N.Y.; three brothers, James Eason and Norman Curtis Eason of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Charlie Eason of Elizabeth City, N.C.; and 13 step-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday (Dec. 5, 1994) at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, South Mills, N.C. by the Rev. Joseph E. Thompson, Sr. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Northside Road, Elizabeth City, N.C. Viewing will be Sunday from 3:00 PM until 8:00 p.m. at Stallings Funeral Home, Elizabeth City, N.C., and the family will be at the home of the deceased.
