WILLIAM R. DRAKE JR.

William Randolph Drake, Jr., 43, of the 300 block of Douglas Ave., died Dec. 2, 1994 in his residence.

He was a native of Portsmouth, a member of Churchland Baptist Church and former deacon of Port Norfolk Baptist Church. He was a retired Supervisor of Shops at Addington Beamon Lumber Co.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha Sparks Drake; two daughters, Jacquelin Susanne Drake and Allison Claire Drake; his mother, Christine Thompson Drake; a brother, Curtis T. Drake; and maternal grandmother, Audrey Thompson, all of Portsmouth.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Loving Funeral Home chapel by Dr. R. Clint Hopkins and the Rev. Richard Martin. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Maryview Wellsprings Home Care or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
