WALTER H. BIGGS SR.

Walter Henry Biggs Sr., 77, of King George Quay, a retired mechanic, died Nov. 29, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Mr. Biggs was born in Williamston, N.C. He retired from Norfolk Naval Base after 25 years and was retired for 20 years. He was the widower of Clara B. Biggs and a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church, Philadelphia, Pa.

Survivors include five daughters, Evelyn Thomas and Theresa Robertson, both of Chesapeake, Patsy Hamilton of San Diego, Calif., Deborah Vaughan of Norfolk and Bonnie Smithers of Virginia Beach; four sons, Walter Biggs Jr. of Broadview Heights, Ohio, Benjamin Biggs of Washington, D.C., Thurman Biggs of Norfolk and Phillip Rogers of Jamaica, N.Y.; four sisters, Eula Mae Carr and Louise Ebron, both of Williamston, N.C., Joyce Washington of Washington, D.C., and Mamie Briley of Philadelphia, Pa.; four brothers, Ben Biggs, Ernest Biggs, Melvin Biggs and James Biggs; 22 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 1p.m. Tuesday at Hale Funeral Home by the Rev. Michael Toliver. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park.
