Willie Rogers Sr. of the 1000 block of Rainey Drive died Dec. 2, 1994.
Mr. Rogers was born in Norfolk County. He was the widower of Mary Rogers and a member of Gable Chapel A.M.E. Church and the steward board.
Survivors include a daughter, Naomi Depree of Chesapeake; four sons, Evan C. Rogers of Norfolk and Willie Rogers Jr., Famous Rogers and Wallace Rogers, all of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Cora R. Walke of Virginia Beach and Lillian Worlds of Norfolk; 31 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gable Chapel A.M.E. Church, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Kerry Johnson. Burial will be in Spence & Rogers Family Cemetery. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
