Betty Kirby Ballinger, 66, of 10826 New Road, died Dec. 4, 1994, in her home.
A native of Akron, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Ray and Inez Kalt Kirby. Mrs. Ballinger was a retired supply clerk for CINCLANT-FLT and for nine years served as food bank manager for Lake Gaston Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her husband, Robert F. Ballinger Sr.; one daughter, Betty Jean Fuller of the home; three sons, Charles Ray Ballinger of Norfolk, Robert Frank Ballinger Jr. of Zuni and John Westly Ballinger of Suffolk; five grandchildren, Jessica, Robert, Ryan, Jacqulin Ballinger and Brandy Gail Webb. She was predeceased by her sister, Ester Buchannan.
A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Tucker Swamp Baptist Church by the Rev. Steve Bradshaw. The family will receive friends at the home of R.F. Ballinger Jr., 8206 Dove Trail, Zuni, on Tuesday, Dec. 6, from 7 to 8 p.m. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Tucker Swamp Youth Center.
