Cleveland Calvin Matchett, 66, of the 500 block of Dinwiddie St., died Dec. 4, 1994, in Maryview Medical Center.
Mr. Matchett, a native of Interlachen, Fla., was a retired clerk from the Portsmouth YMCA. He was formerly a teacher at Central Baptist School, Portsmouth, and Faith Christian School, Chesapeake. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Ferrell Joseph Matchett and Mary Kay Matchett of Limestone, Tenn.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Central Baptist Church by Dr. U.G. Robertson. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Portsmouth. Friends will gather at Foster Funeral Home today from 6 to 7 p.m.
