Elizabeth Irene Strickland Miller, 65, of the 3200 block of Winchester Drive, died Dec. 5, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Miller was a native of Goldsboro, N.C., and a member of Believers Baptist Church, Chesapeake.
Survivors include her husband, William T. Miller; three daughters, Grace Allison of Portsmouth, Pam Keatts of Wendell, N.C. and Lorna Smith of Lady Smith, Va.; four sons, Robert Sutton, Thomas Sutton, William Sutton and Eugene Griffin Jr., all of Portsmouth; a sister, Ruth Stewart of Portsmouth; five brothers, Roland Strickland of Raleigh, N.C., Herman Strickland of San Angelo, Texas, George Strickland, James Strickland and Danny Clay Strickland, all of Goldsboro, N.C.; and 12 grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Believers Baptist Church by the Rev. Scott Ranck. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 6 to 9 p.m. today and other times at 114 Bobby Jones Drive, Portsmouth. Memorial donations may be made to Believers Baptist Church.
