Raymond Gallop, 86, a retired rigger, died Friday, Dec. 2, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mr. Gallop was a native of Harbinger, N.C., and the son of the late Luke and Della Case Gallop. He was preceded in death a little over a year ago by his devoted wife, Olive Lueray Gallop. He was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and was a member of Pleasant Branch Baptist Church, Powells Point, N.C.
Survivors include two sisters, Lula G. Day and Almetta G. Pledger, and a brother, Nathan Gallop of Norfolk.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Pleasant Branch Baptist Church, Powells Point, N.C., by the Rev. Charlie Patterson. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Riddick Funeral Service.
