Shelton Dean Owens, 61, of the 4000 block of 2nd St., died Monday, Dec. 5, 1994, in the Medical College of Virginia Hospital.
Mr. Owens was the son of the late Johnie L. and Sybil Stallings Owens. He was retired as a warehouse manager for Hussey & Associates and was a Baptist.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy O. Miller of Chesapeake and Teresa Geer of Norfolk; two sons, Johnie D. Owens of Norfolk and Robert D. Owens of Murfreesboro, N.C.; a sister, Deborah Downey of Halliford, Va.; a grandmother, Gladys Owens of Harbinger, N.C.; and four grandchildren.
A service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8, 1994, at 11 a.m. in Twiford Funeral Home, Ghent Chapel, Norfolk, with the Rev. John McDonald officiating. A graveside service will be held in Powells Point Christian Church Cemetery, Powells Point, N.C., at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Glen White officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Massey Cancer Center, Medical College of Virginia, Richmond, Va.
