George H. Wilson, 69, of Wakefield, entered into eternal rest Sunday, Dec. 4, 1994, at a local health care center.
He leaves to cherish his memory four brothers, Harold and Thomas Wilson, both of Washington, D.C., and Theodore and Rufus M. Wilson, both of Wakefield; three sisters, Portia B. McClenny of Wakefield, Eva A. Warren of Waverly and Ruby Phipps of Halmar, Calif.; and a host of other beloved relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles W. Davis Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Gilfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Ivor. He will lie in state from 1 to 8 p.m. today at Peace Funeral Home, Waverly. McClenny-Johnson Funeral Service, Inc., Charlottesville, is handling arrangements.
