SUFFOLK CRIME REPORT

DISTRICT A

Grand larceny: 3800 block Bridge Road, Nov. 25, someone took a Motorola Keynote pager from a vehicle.

Bomb threat: 4900 Bennett's Pasture Road, Nov. 23, a male phoned John Yeates Middle School and said a bomb was there, though none was found.

Grand larceny, auto: 4300 block D. Crowdy Boulevard, Nov. 25, someone took a 1987 Chevrolet Spectrum.

Lost or stolen: 4400 Brent St., Nov. 27, two Virginia license plates have been lost or stolen with tag number EQY 3356.

Business breaking and entering: 4900 block Bennett's Pasture Road, Nov. 27, someone entered the U.S. Post Office lobby and may have taken several certified letters.

Grand larceny auto: 6000 block Bradford Drive, Nov. 29, a 1988 blue Honda Accord and keys are missing.

Grand larceny: 1700 block Bridge Road, Nov. 29, someone took a compressor and cooler unit from a food store.

DISTRICT B

Residential breaking and entering: 1000 Litton Lane, Nov. 26, a man gained entry by prying open a window, attempted to prepare a meal and choked the victim and threatened to kill her when confronted and ordered to leave.

Petty larceny: 1400 block Bright Drive, Nov. 29, someone took a Motorola bag style cellular phone.

DISTRICT C

Petty larceny, Pine Street, Nov. 26, a Huffy 18-speed black and gray bicycle was taken from the store.

Strong-arm robbery: 400 block Market St., Nov. 25, one of several males on a woman's front porch grabbed her tan pocketbook and ran away with it.

Unauthorized use of motor vehicle: 600 block Mason Ave., Nov. 23, a man took a vehicle and did not return it.

Armed robbery: 200 block South Broad St., Nov. 23, a man who was walking said another with a black handgun got out of a blue Ford Tempo, told him to get on the ground, demanded his money and then fled.

Armed robbery: 1000 block West Washington St., Nov. 23, a man who was walking said he was approached by two black males, one of whom demanded his wallet and then fled.

Assault on police and assault and battery: 100 block North Main St. and 1900 block North Main St., Nov. 24, a woman grabbed and twisted a police officer's hand and she struck a nurse on the left arm.

Grand larceny: 100 block Day St., Nov. 26, a homeless woman took a 13-inch Emerson television, a 4-head Sharp VCR and an 18-speed Huffy man's gray and yellow bicycle.

Lost or stolen: 500 block West Riverview Drive, Nov. 28, a city decal number 37944 was lost or stolen from a vehicle.

Strong-arm robbery: 100 block Pine St., Nov. 30, two males took another's wallet containing $46 in cash and insurance and identification cards.

DISTRICT D

Stolen firearm: 500 block Ockawaha Ave., Nov. 23, someone removed a Davis P-380 automatic, nickel-plated firearm and a right-handed black holster.

Church breaking and entering: 100 block Raleigh Ave., Nov. 23, someone pried open a side door and took a cabinet and two microphones.

School breaking and entering, 200 block Walnut St., someone pried open the front door lock of portable classroom 400, but nothing was taken.

Grand larceny: 1200 Portsmouth Blvd., Nov. 24, a man said a woman removed keys to his vehicle while he was sleeping and took a brown wallet containing $300 and a medical card.

Attempted breaking and entering: Johnson and County streets, Nov. 24, someone broke a window and attempted to get in.

Grand larceny, attempted capital murder and hit and run: 100 block of East Washington St., and 400 block of Wilson St., Nov. 24, a man took a 1978 burgundy Mercury and got into an accident with a Suffolk police officer, tried to run over two officers, hit a shed and fled.

Armed robbery, 300 block of Newport St., Nov. 24, a man said other males with guns approached him, hit him with a gun and took $200, a lighter and a pack of Kool cigarettes.

Strong-arm robbery: 1000 block of Clarys Drive, Nov. 25, a male was observed by several witnesses taking money and a wallet from an intoxicated victim.

Grand theft: 400 block Carolina Road, Nov. 26, a woman drove off in a cream-colored 1985 Chevrolet Cavalier without permission.

Residential breaking and entering: 300 block Hill St., someone broke in and removed several items including photographs.

Business breaking and entering: 200 block East Washington St., Nov. 26, a police officer saw the door had been forced open but found nothing to be missing.

Forgery: Carolina Road and Carolina Avenue, Nov. 26, a man signed an incorrect name during a traffic stop.

Grand larceny: 300 B Hill St., Nov. 26, a VCR was taken or borrowed without permission.

Destruction of private property: 100 block Willow St., Nov. 28, a woman broke out two front door windows.

Petty larceny: 400 block Cullodan St., Nov. 28, a city decal number 17918 was lost or stolen from a 1984 Lincoln.

Breaking and entering trailer: 100 block County St., Nov. 28, someone entered a trailer and took seven 110-pound bags of peanuts.

Armed robbery: 300 block Bullock St., Nov. 28, a man was approached by two males who demanded money and beat him with a gun when they found he had none.

Petty larceny: 199 block North 9th St., Nov. 29, someone entered a vehicle and took an inspection sticker number E5368775.

DISTRICT F

Lost or stolen: 2600 Jackson Road, Nov. 25, a 1994 city decal number 32941 was lost or stolen prior to being placed in the vehicle it was issued to.

Attempted house breaking and entering: 500 West Liberty Springs Road, Nov. 28, someone tried to pry open a rear kitchen door. by CNB
