Capathia Ann Ackerman, 53, of the 2500 block of E. Washington St., died Dec. 7, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Ackerman was a native of Portsmouth and the widow of Robert V. Ackerman. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include two daughters, Catherine Ann Farrell of Gates, N.C., and Rebecca Lynn Bushor of Sanford, Fla.; her mother, Grace F. Wood of Portsmouth; two sisters, Marjorie Fay Chitty of Birmingham, Ala., and Janat C. Carroll of Portsmouth; and five grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
