Andrew Joseph Fly, 66, of the 500 block of Apache Road, a retired equipment specialist, died Dec. 6, 1994, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mr. Fly was a native of Wilson, N.C., and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he was also Scout Master of Troop (NU)56 and a high priest in the church.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Louise Fly; a daughter, Rhonda Leigh Demarest of Portsmouth; two sons, J. Patrick Fly and Thomas E. Fly of Portsmouth; a sister, Charlotte Zicafoose of Chesapeake; four brothers, Earl Garrett Fly Sr. and Lewis Talmage Fly, both of Portsmouth, Paul Garland Fly of Chesapeake and Aulsa Cogdell Fly Sr. of Suffolk; and 10 grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by Bishop Coleman Smith. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Loving Funeral Home, Churchland.
