Lilly Spain Valentine, 92, of the 1300 block of Decatur St., a retired school teacher, died Dec. 6, 1994, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mrs. Valentine was born in Waverly, Va., and was the widow of James Valentine. She was retired from the Chesapeake Public Schools. She was a member of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Garden Club and had attended Longwood College.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Janet Clarke of Lonita, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Silas Clarke of San Pedro, Calif., Capt. Victor Wadsley of Fountain Valley, Calif., and Dennis Clarke of Colbert, Wash.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Willis Dowling. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
