Daisy Gladys Kraatz, 93, of the first block of Prospect Parkway, a retired kindergarten teacher, died Dec. 6, 1994, in Suffolk.
Mrs. Kraatz, a native of Springdale, Ark., was the widow of Alfred A. Kraatz. She was retired after 25 years and was a member of Cradock Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star, Victory Chapter.
Survivors include a son, Bernie Kraatz and his wife, Phyllis of Portsmouth; two sisters, Joy L. Bannon and Marie McCollough, both of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Marcia K. Kittrell and Brian Kraatz, both of Portsmouth; a great-grandchild, Sherri Kittrell of Portsmouth; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Cradock Baptist Church by Dr. David R. Denny and the Rev. Richard W. Lovingood. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Cradock Baptist Church or Cradock Presbyterian Church.
