ROBERT L. GRIFFIN

Robert Lee Griffin of the 1000 block of Cherokee Road, died Dec. 6, 1994, in his home.

Mr. Griffin was born in Norfolk County and was a former member of Divine Baptist Church, Chesapeake. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Agnes L. Griffin; four sisters, Florence Brickhouse and Betty Smith, both of Chesapeake, Mary Barco of South Mills, N.C., Dorothy Crawford of Philadelphia; six brothers, James Griffin of Fayetteville, N.C., Franklin Griffin of North Charleston, S.C., John Griffin of Washington, D.C., Elijah Griffin of Norfolk, Winford Griffin and Winfield Griffin, both of Chesapeake; two uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Deep Creek Church of Christ-Disciples of Christ, Chesapeake, by Elder Robert D. Ross. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery with military honors. Viewing will begin at noon Friday in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Saturday. The family will be at the home of Betty J. Smith, 1913 Millville Road, Chesapeake, and will assemble there for the funeral service.
