SCHOLARSHIPS OFFERED

NationsBank announced Wednesday that it would offer $140,000 in scholarships in the next two years to 14 universities, including five in Virginia, that belong to the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

Each university will get $10,000 in scholarships. The schools include Norfolk State University, Hampton University, St. Paul's College, Virginia State University, Virginia Union University and Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina.

NationsBank gave $140,000 to the universities in the past two years as well.
