Santa Claus was the star attraction at the annual Christmas Parade
Dec. 1 at the Chesapeake civic center. He and Mrs. Claus waved to
spectators from a locomotive built by volunteers from Virginia
Power. The parade, sponsored by the Special Programs Office of the
Chesapeake Department of Parks and Recreation, followed the lighting
of the Christmas tree in front of City Hall.
