Jarvis Nolan Morris, 70, of the 2200 block of Leckie St., died Thursday, Dec. 8, 1994, in his home.
Mr. Morris, a native of Deep Run, N.C., was a retired aircraft mechanic with Overhaul and Repair from the Naval Air Rework Facility and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was the son of the late David and Rebecca Littleton Morris, and was preceded in death by a sister, Gertrude Hales, and two brothers, Myron Morris and Cecil Morris.
Survivors include his wife, C. Nancy Morris; two sons, Jack S. Morris of Chesapeake and John N. Morris Sr. of Chesterfield; six brothers, Clifford Morris, Charlie Morris, Robert Morris, Paul Morris, Bruce Morris, all of North Carolina, and Major Morris of Illinois; three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
A graveside funeral with military honors will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. James D. Thomas in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Foster Funeral Home Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
