TCI confirms TeleCable buyout a done deal: Tele-Communications Inc. reached an agreement with Federal Trade Commission regulators that should clear the way for the leading cable system operator to complete its $1.5 billion stock-swap buyout of Norfolk-based TeleCable Corp., TCI Treasurer Bernard Schotters said Thursday. Confirming earlier press reports, Schotters said TCI agreed to sell some cable properties in Columbus, Ga., where both companies now operate, to win regulators' approval.
