A man charged in May with shooting his girlfriend during an argument was found guilty Thursday and sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Charles A. Autrey, of the 3100 block of Kansas Ave. in the Bayview area, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and use of a firearm by a felon.
He was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the manslaughter charge and five years for the firearms charge.
Autrey was arrested on May 4 after shooting Beverly Alexander, 31, in the head. Alexander, of the 1000 block of Fisherman's Road, was visiting Autrey's home when the shooting occurred, police said.
