CRIME REPORT

Lists of property crimes and robberies in the city are provided to The Clipper by Chesapeake Police. They are printed on a space-available basis and include the address at which the crime occurred, the missing items and the approximate date. For robberies, a description of suspects also is provided.

SOUTH NORFOLK BOROUGH

(The old city of South Norfolk)

Commercial burglary, 1200 block of Gallop Ave. Missing: Honda motorcycle parts, transmission cases and three ceiling grids. Nov. 21 or 22.

Strong-arm robbery, 3100 block of Petre Road. The victim was approached from behind by two suspects. One hit the victim on the head with a pistol. The suspects took $382, a gold wedding band, a pager, pocket knife and a wallet. Description of suspects: No. 1, black male, late teens, 5-feet-9-inches, 175 pounds, medium brown complexion, brown eyes, wore a red hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. No. 2, 17, 5-feet-5-inches, 145 pounds, small build, brown eyes, wore a black leather jacket and blue jeans. Nov. 24.

Strong-arm robbery, Berkley and Ruritan streets. The victim was walking on Berkley Avenue when she was approached by a man who demanded her purse. He struck the victim in the face several times then took her purse containing $40. Description of suspect: black male, wore black shirt and pants. Nov. 25.

Commercial burglary, 600 block of Liberty St. Missing: typewriter, two Accu-Check Diabetes machines, a microwave and a stereo receiver. Nov. 23 or 24.

Residential burglary, 2900 block of Stalham Road. Missing: television and a stereo. Nov. 27.

Commercial burglary, 2300 block of Vicker Ave. Missing: facsimile machine, hand-held phone and a desk phone. Between Nov. 25 and 28.

Grand larceny, 900 block of Portland St. Missing: 1987 Oldsmobile Delta, burgundy, license CRC-861. Nov. 28.

Residential burglary, 2600 block of Yale Court. Nothing reported missing. Nov. 28 or 29.

Grand larceny, 1300 block of Kay Ave. Missing: toolbox and tools. Nov. 28 or 29.

WASHINGTON BOROUGH

Grand larceny, 1400 block of Greenbrier Parkway. Missing: car phone, Walkman and a 35mm camera. Nov. 20.

Grand larceny, 1600 block of S. Military Highway. Missing: 12 gauge shotgun. Between Nov. 4 and 22.

Petty larceny, 800 block of Providence Road. Missing: Virginia license plate VIP-812. Nov. 19 or 29.

Strong-arm robbery, 2200 block of S. Military Highway, Twin B. Two armed suspects approached the counter and demanded money. Description of suspects: No. 1, black male, 6-feet, wore black pants and a green/white shirt. No. 2, black male, 6-feet, wore orange jeans and a light blue jacket. Nov. 26.

Residential burglary, 4500 block of Bainbridge Blvd. Nothing reported missing. Nov. 22.

Residential burglary, 1500 block of Clark Court. The house was ransacked. Nothing was reported missing. Nov. 25.

Residential burglary, 1600 block of Rokeby Ave. Missing: microwave, vacuum, videocassette recorder, two watches, answering machine and a clock. Nov. 26.

Grand larceny, 700 block of River Strand. Missing: gasoline generator. Nov. 22.

Grand larceny, 3000 block of S. Battlefield Blvd., Holiday Tree Farm. Missing: Ford 910 tractor with a front-end loader and a Roto-tiller. Nov. 23.

Grand larceny, 400 block of Cobblewood Arch. Missing: 12 gauge pump shotgun, box of 12 gauge shells, compass, binoculars, knife and a fanny pack. Nov. 25.

Grand larceny, 900 block of Ventures Way. Missing: compact disc player, amplifier and a cassette deck. Nov. 25.

Petty larceny, 1100 block of Brandon Court. Missing: Mag-lite and cash. Between Nov. 19 and 21.

Petty larceny, 1400 block of Greenbrier Parkway. Missing: compact disc player. Nov. 23 or 24.
