PRAY WITHOUT MANDATE

I do not believe that a school-prayer amendment will accomplish anything.

Do its advocate truly believe that school violence will decrease, attendance increase and grades improve? A one-minute prayer will not affect a child who goes to a home where there is not a sense of God, where prayer and giving thanks are not daily rituals.

Those who use prayer in their lives don't need a government-forced moment. They give silent thanks all the time.
