ROBERT M. BROWN SR.

Robert M. ``Dice'' Brown Sr., 57, of the 5500 block of Bayberry Drive, a retired linesman, died Dec. 10, 1994, at home among family and friends.

Mr. Brown was born in Norfolk. He had retired from Ford Motor Co. in 1994 after 30 years. He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and was a member of the United Auto Workers. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert M. ``Lil Dice'' Brown Jr., and his father, Nathaniel Brown Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Brown; two daughters, Pamela Brown and Judith Pete, both of Norfolk; his mother, Bernice Brown of Norfolk; his devoted mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harold C. Sawyer; five sisters, Lillian B. Artis and Vanessa B. Rogers, both of Chesapeake, Yvonne B. Mitchell of Virginia Beach and Gladys B. Robinson and Gilda B. Wilson, both of Norfolk; nine brothers, Mack Brown of Willingboro, N.J., Charles Brown of Raleigh, N.C., Nathaniel Brown of Chesapeake, George Alvin Brown of Virginia Beach, Wendell Brown, Raymond Brown, Michael Brown, Clarence Brown and Frizzell Brown, all of Norfolk; six grandchildren; 40 nieces and nephews; 36 great-nieces and nephews; two great-great-nephews; six sisters-in-law, Dorothy S. Hines, Millicent A. Sawyer, Sharon Brown, Denise G. Brown, Emma Brown and Denise Brown; and four brothers-in-law, Kevin Rogers, James Jones, George Hines and Retired Lt. Col. Fred H. Sawyer.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Graves Funeral Home in charge. The family will assemble at the residence. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
