A graphic about carbon monoxide, ``The Silent Killer,'' appeared
with the wrong article Tuesday on Page A2. It should have been with
a story about four carbon monoxide deaths in Norfolk.
A headline on Tuesday's story about the TVA should have said that
the Tennessee utility is $25 billion in debt. Also, the text
contained numerical errors. The ceiling on borrowing mentioned near
the end of the story was $30 billion, and the Tennessee Valley
Authority serves nearly 8 million customers.
In a story Saturday on the acquittal of Curtis L. Jones in the
death of a drug dealer, the full name of his attorney, Lenita Ellis,
was missing. Technological problems also deleted a juror's statement
that the verdict was unanimous.
The Southeastern Public Service Authority has a landfill in
Suffolk, not Smithfield. A story Monday about curbside recycling in
North Carolina had an error.
