CARL W. TRADER

Carl Walton Trader, 89, of the 700 block of S. Battlefield Blvd., a retired leadingman, died Dec. 15, 1994, in Chesapeake General Hospital.

Mr. Trader was born in Pocomoke City, Md., and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of Chesapeake Avenue United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth S. Trader; two daughters, Frances Hancock of Princess Anne, Md., and Peggy Freeman of Chesapeake; a sister, Lola Powell of Fruitland, Md.; five grandchildren, Debbie Parker of Hendersonville, N.C., Larry Hancock of Raleigh, N.C., Karen Pearce and Stephanie Freeman, both of Chesapeake, and Libby Throneberry of Virginia Beach; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Chesapeake Avenue United Methodist Church by the Rev. Charles Moseley. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. The family will be at Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
