WORD FROM PFEIFER 'THEY DID IT RIGHT'

The last word on the Children's Museum of Virginia comes from the person most responsible for the success of the museum over the years, Trish Pfeifer.

``They did it right,'' Pfeifer said.

Pfiefer, curator of the museum from its small beginnings in the basement of the Public Library until this year, was noticeably omitted from the opening ceremonial credits. But she did attend one of the pre-opening parties to see the finished product for the first time.

Moving from exhibit to exhibit and testing them out, she said she was pleased with the final results.

Pfeifer spent many years struggling to keep the museum going, selling it to the public and finally planning and designing the fantastic new children's place unveiled last week.

It's no exaggeration to say that she was the key to its survival and success. Her positive assessment of the new museum is the ultimate stamp of approval - truly the last word! by CNB
