Clinton Bill Barnes, 72, of 16242 Pittman Road died Dec. 15, 1994, at the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mr. Barnes was born in Southampton County. He was a retired carpenter and member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church, Newsoms, Va. He was the son of the late John W. Barnes and Vergie Britt Barnes.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Turner Barnes; stepson, Morty Tann of Hampton, Va.; stepdaughter, Connie Pinnock of Columbia, S.C.; two brothers, John Barnes and Malachi Barnes, both of Branchville; one sister, Rebecca Parker of Suffolk, Va.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Mount Tabor Baptist Church by the Rev. Roger Steele. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Faison Funeral Home Chapel, Seaboard, N.C.
