ANNETTE MURIEL SHORE

Annette Muriel Shore, 79, of Norfolk, died Dec. 16, 1994, in a nursing home of complications from cancer, after a two-year illness.

Mrs. Shore was the daughter of the late Celia and Samuel Kaufman. She was a native of Providence, R.I., and moved to Norfolk in the 1940's. She was a member of Ohef Sholom Temple in Norfolk, Va.

She is survived by numerous cousins including Ruth Sandperils and Celia Matzner of Providence, R.I.

Mrs. Shore was the Executive Secretary to Dudley Cooper from 1947 until her retirement in 1985. In that position she was known to Mr. Cooper's wide-ranging business associates and to the local business community. She was an early advocate of upgrading the secretarial profession, becoming an early Certified Public Secretary in 1966, and maintaining her ties with the National Secretaries Association until her death.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery by Rabbi Lawrence A. Forman.

Memorial donations may be made to Ohef Sholom Temple, Young Audiences of Virginia, Inc. or to a charity of choice. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk will be handling the arrangements.
